The wonderful town of Belgrade, Montana is located 10 miles northwest of Bozeman. With a population of over 8,000 people, Belgrade is a quiet yet energetic town settled in the heart of the Gallatin Valley. Since its founding in 1882, Belgrade has growth has been gradual but steady. Many of its thriving businesses are managed by local families who have a robust devotion to their community.
With its centralized location, Belgrade provides easy access to several points of interest and amenities. Yellowstone National Park, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Big Sky Ski and Summer Resort, Museum of the Rockies, and Nevada and Virginia Cities are all just around the corner. Fun Fact: Belgrade was once home to Beaumont Track, a horse racing facility built in the 1950’s. The subdivision now located in its place honors its founder, Lloyd Shelhamer, with street names such as Secretariat, Quinella and Triple Crown.

In just a few minutes, you can drive from one end of Belgrade to the other. Belgrade is only 10-15 minutes from Bozeman. We love that. But, if you’re not able to drive, Bozeman has a fantastic free public transportation system, Streamline. We love that too.
The Bozeman Streamline has been operating since 2006 and is a great way to get around town. From Bozeman Deaconess Hospital to the Gallatin Valley Mall and from MSU to Belgrade, and even Livingston, the routes are perfect for commuting for work or simply exploring the Valley. You can even ride to Bridger Bowl and Bohart Ranch for a day of skiing. They also offer door-to-door transportation for seniors and persons with disabilities. We highly encourage you to jump on and see where it takes you, you might be surprised. And, don’t forget the best part…it’s free!
